Scott Haslem
Head of Investments, Product and Services and Chief Investment Officer

Prior to joining the firm, Scott was most recently Managing Director and Chief Economist, Head of Macro Research for Australia and New Zealand at UBS. While at UBS he led a consistently top-rated economics team for more than 10 years, while being individually rated the number one broking economist for 10 of the past 11 years. Scott has more than 25 years’ experience in global financial markets and investment banking, providing extensive economics research and investment strategy across the equities and fixed income markets, engaging with fund managers, superannuation funds and wealth management clients. Prior to joining UBS in 1998, he spent seven years working for the Reserve Bank of Australia, primarily in economic forecasting. Scott holds a degree with Honours in Economics from the University of Queensland and a Master of Economics degree from the Australian National University.


John d’Apice
Partner, Investment Adviser

John is a Partner and Investment Adviser at LGT Crestone working directly with clients to manage their investment portfolios. John is supported by an extensive CIO team and wider LGT Crestone team of over 300 staff. John’s client base consists largely of private clients, not-for-profits and industry associations and range in size from $1m-$100m+. Within the private client segment John assists his client manage their SMSFs, Family Trust’s, personal accounts and more. John has more than 18 years’ experience in financial markets, having spent more than 10 years with UBS Wealth Management. In 2016, John and his colleagues, launched a management buyout of the UBS business which became Crestone Wealth Management. In 2022, Crestone was sold to a European Private Bank, LGT, which is wholly and privately owned by the Royal Family of Liechtenstein – and renamed LGT Crestone. In Australian LGT Crestone manages $24bn of client funds and globally LGT managed over $400bn in assets. John holds a degree in Civil Engineering from Monash University and a Graduate Diploma of Applied Finance from FINSIA. He is also certified by Responsible Investment Association Australasia (RIAA).

Sam Gadani
Sam is a passionate accountant and advocate for his clients. Being very active in the health space with the majority of his clients being Specialists, Doctors and Practice Owners.  He is a Director in Prosperity’s Business Services and Taxation group, with over 16 years experience.  Sam specialises in advising clients on business issues including business strategies, structuring, business advisory, taxation planning and minimisation strategies. Sam’s professional advisory and taxation skills are underpinned by his detailed understanding of clients’ business needs. This ability to understand a client’s perspective, his personable nature and his proactive approach ensures that every client he engages benefits from his specialised experience and therefore adding value to clients’ businesses.


Gary Dean
Gary has more than 20 years’ experience working within the financial planning industry. Gary specialises in developing financial planning strategies for his business and high net worth clients such as specialists and prior to joining Prosperity, Gary held senior financial planning roles with a “big 4” accounting firm and top tier national accounting and financial advisory practice.He holds specific experience in Financial Planning Investment Review Committee work and in relation to internal compliance standards. Gary works closely with his clients to understand their financial position and then presents sound investment advice and strategies to meet their goals.He keeps abreast of the most recent industry changes, issues and trends and is a regular presenter of seminars and training for clients, staff and in the industry.
